Cornerstone is an independent church. An organized denomination does not govern us from above, telling us what to believe or how to practice our faith. We are wholly self-governed; with a leadership structure that we developed and our own constitution that has been ratified by the partners of our church.
People from all types of backgrounds and faiths find a home at Cornerstone. If you come from a non–religious background, you will find our church is a comfortable and non-threatening place to explore what following Jesus is all about.
God’s heart for His church is complete unity (John 17:20–23). We believe that pursuing the kind of “oneness” God wants is imperative to the Kingdom. We believe in partnering with like-minded Christians to make a difference in people’s lives. We are willing to work with any and all Christian churches with goals and missions similar to ours. We have relationships with several congregations in the Baltimore-Washington area to help others connect with God. Furthermore, we team up with international organizations that invest into the lives of missionaries who impact lives all over the world. These are dynamic partnerships.
