Get involved in the wider world

Cornerstone is committed to mission in the wider world. As a church, Cornerstone tithes (gives 10 percent) of the offerings it receives each week for mission purposes, including new church plants across the U.S., and work with the El Red del Camino church network in the Dominican Republic. We provide opportunities for you to get involved in reaching out beyond our nation to the needs of the world.

Church planting. We are a training ground for church leaders: several of our members have gone on from Cornerstone to plant their own churches. We have allowed our church space to be used by local church plants for worship. In addition, we actively financially support several church plants at any given time.

El Red del Camino. Cornerstone’s partnership with this network of churches is mutually beneficial. People from Cornerstone travel to the Dominican Republic several times a year on mission trips, where in addition to working on projects there, they return enriched by the ideas, practices and spirit of the churches in the network. In the future, representatives from the Dominican Republic will travel to Cornerstone in exchange as well.

Miscellaneous mission projects. The people of Cornerstone sponsor 50 orphans in the village of Mbala, Zambia through the World Vision international aid agency. We have also participated in providing Christmas gifts for local families in need. We also are involved in prayer for former Cornerstone people now serving as missionaries in Asia.
